Giving stray dogs a second chance of life. . . . .

Homecheck Request

It is our policy to make certain that each person who applies to adopt a dog is fully aware of the responsibilities of dog ownership, and is capable of and willing to accept those responsibilities morally, physically and financially. Not every person who applies to adopt can meet those basic requirements.

By completing this questionnaire, you will be assisting us in determining if you and your family are indeed ready for dog ownership, and if the dog you have an interest in would suit you and your family lifestyle.  This is a lifetime commitment, and you should only complete with questionnaire if you willing to undertake this.

** PLEASE NOTE - WE EXPECT ALL POTENTIAL ADOPTERS TO BE ABLE TO MEET THE DOG PRIOR TO FINALISING A ADOPTION, IF YOU HAVE OTHER DOGS THIS ALSO MEANS TAKEN THEM TO MEET THE DOG YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADOPTION FOR. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO MANAGE THIS, THEN PLEASE  SPEAK TO US BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR HOMECHECK REQUEST. WE HAVE NO RESERVATIONS ON REHOMING TO ANYWHERE IN THE UK AS LONG YOU YOU HAVE THE MEANS OF TRANSPORT FOR YOU, YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR DOGS TO TRAVEL TO THE FOSTER HOMES. **

Thanking you for completing this questionnaire, and expressing an interest in adopting a dog.  I trust you will appreciate the importance in matching the right family with the right dog.  Team Ilbrey will contact you in due course to arrange a home check – at a mutually convenient date and time.

Please note our Adoption Fee is a minimum of £200 (Staffs/Staff x's) & £250 minimum for large breeds and other breeds, which covers the dogs being fully vaccinated, microchipped and if at the appropriate age, neutered. If they are too young to be neutered they will go out on a neutering contract, which means it is the new owners responsibility to have the dog neutered or spayed and veterinary confirmation forwarded to the rescue, for our records.

We consider all applications and circumstances.
