Team Ilbrey K9 Partners

Giving stray dogs a second chance of life. . . . .

Looking for a wonderful family dog - you've come to the right place.....

K9 Partners is in daily contact with Council Pounds throughout the UK.  We have over time shown our dedication and love for the bull breeders, and these are the dogs we usually save from the Pounds.  I say usually as we have a big heart, and if we have the space and funds will  try to help any dogs in need.  Once we have secured the dog they are brought into our rescue and will either go into an experienced foster home or kennels. The dog will be assessed and any medical issues attended to as soon as possible.  Once we have assessed the dogs for temperament,  and their likes and dislikes the dog will be put up for adoption.  We will always be as honest as possible with the assessment, and as a team are always available after adoption to help sort out any settling in issues that might arise.  We also have a very well supported Adoptee's Page on Facebook.  This is were we love to see pictures and have update on all our dogs once they leave us for their forever homes..  This is a social and supportive page and is a available to you from day 1,

All our dogs will be micro-chipped, vaccinated and neutered prior to adoption.  The only exception to the neutering rule will  be age or on veterinary advise.  Dogs that leave our rescue un-neutered will go out on what we call a Neutering Adoption Contract.  This will require the new family to ensure that the neutering is carried out by a certain age, and written confirmation for your vets supplied to our for  our records.

As a rescue we are committed to each and every one of our dogs.  We will do all we can to ensure that whilst they are foster they are re-adjusting back to a home environment with love and support.  We want all our dogs to be healthy and well balanced prior to be re-homed.

As a potential adoptee we encourage you to ask any questions you may have about us or the dog / s during the process.  We have a Testimonial Page with feedback which should reassure you that you are dealing with a caring and professional small dog rescue

The next step to finding your perfect family dog is the home check.

What is a Home Check?

This is just where an experienced home-checker get to meet you and your family in your home. This informal meeting is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have, and for the home checker to ensure that proper consideration has been given to this commitment, and that the home environment is suitable for a dog.  Once this information is forwarded to us, one of the Rescue Partners will contact you to advise you of the next step.  Any family with a current dog will be advise on passing a home check that we will require for both / all dogs have an opportunity to have a meet and greet  on mutual territory.

There is a net work of Home Checker throughout the UK, who volunteer their time and expertise to carry out this essential check, prior to any potential adoption., and they will contact you direct to arrange a convenient date and time for this initial meeting.

To arrange a home check, please contact us at stating the name of the dog your interesting in.  Please provide a email address and contact number for us to make arrangements
